It is about a mile and a half from Ringwood, and is on the estate of Avon Castle, which place is now a private residence, tenanted and owned by Colonel Ralph Peacock. The trackbed approaching the town from each direction is now part of the Castleman Trailway. Replacement buses are currently in operation. A shuttle bus will operate between Mooroolbark and Ringwood to assist passengers travelling to and from Ringwood East until last service Sunday 7 July.
