Columbia County Justice Court, Your fine must be received by the Justice Court before the date of your scheduled appearance. County Courts handle trials in misdemeanor cases and other minor offenses and have the authority to conduct trials in felony matters. The Justice Court's jurisdiction includes, but is not limited to, citations issued by law enforcement agencies for traffic, boating, weighmaster, fish and game, and state and county parks violations, as well as city and county ordinances. Outside New York City, Supreme Courts hear civil matters while the County Courts hear criminal matters. The majority of court hearings are conducted in the Columbia County Justice Center which is located in Evans, Georgia.
